Task 1 is now in the books, the weather was really not promising with big cloud coverage and strong North-West wind which is not very suitable for the take off above Niska Banja.
Hard conditions for take off, big waiting line and weak conditions for climbing made things really hard at the start gate for many people and many of us struggled to get out form the valley where we started the race. A big group of us went to the nearby village for a safe landing options.
It is however the World Cup therefore many pilots also did nice flying, more than half of the race to be exact, but also many had problems everyone is safe though. However, no pilots in goal and here you can not blame it on the pilots, maybe it was the task setting…
I have a new glider the PURE 3 which I really like and can’t wait to fly it tomorrow again on some hopefully better weather 🙂
