Winter is always difficult for paragliding pilots, on one of this difficult days I was going through some videos from the past tandem season. I miss the days in Ohrid when you can get to cloud base in your T-Shirt and shorts.

This is a boring video of the struggle to make the first climb on our usual flying spot above the village of Velestovo. The thermals here are often unorganized and the ride to cloud base is not a straight forward task. On this day we had a big shadow, we had to wait a lot of time, luckily the sun came and it started to work. Getting the tandem to climb in this lifts is much more difficult than a solo glider but also much more rewarding. Bonus, the landing approach to our landing place at the Cuba Libre Beach Bar.
